The Straz Center for Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida

History

Initially called the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, The David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts started operating in July 1887. In November 2009, the venue got rebranded to pay tribute to its financier called David A, Straz Jr.

Renovations

It was in 2018 when the Straz Center got a major revamp. The venue had undergone a massive renovation worth multi-million dollars. The renovation included cooler LED lighting, new wood floors for the stages, as well as better dressing rooms to facilitate the performers.
